Did the Name Change Auditor's fee change?
Yes. Effective September 1, 2012, the Name Change Auditor Fee (Cost Fee Code NCA) changed. ESHB 2048 changed the $30 Affordable Housing for All surcharge imposed under RCW 36.22.179. While the fee itself increased, it is no longer in effect for certain types of recordings, including the Name Change recording.
The Cost Fee Code entry for NCA has been updated to remove the $30 surcharge, reducing the total fee from $62 to $32.
