What are the qualifications needed to become a Certified Professional Guardian?  What kind of experience is required?

 

Generally, a person with a Bachelor's degree must have 2 years of experience in a field pertinent to the provision of guardianship services. The Board considers whether the work experience of the applicant has given the applicant skills that are transferable to the provision of guardianship services and whether the work involved using independent judgment or decision making on behalf of others. The experience is based on a full time job-40 hours per week.
